Kent County features a wide variety of protected lands of state and national importance. These include :
- Eastern Neck Island Refuge, off the southwestern coast of Kent County, protects the habitat of endangered
species such as bald eagles. Visitors can access the refuge through hiking trails or by watercraft such as canoe or kayak.
- Millington WMA, located in eastern Kent County near the Delaware state line. It covers hundreds of
non-contiguous acres.
- Sassafras River NRMA, located in north-central Kent County on the banks of the Sassafras River.

- Ship Yard Public Landing
- Bayside Public Landing
- Quaker Neck Public Landing
